Satani Bat Bi: Pearl River Cruise

The Pearl River meanders in and around Guangzhou, creating canals, inlets, waterways, circulating around islands, and finally flowing down to the South China Sea.  As our time in Guangzhou draws to a close, seeing the city by boat was one of the final items on our must-see list.  Husband surprised me last week with tickets, and we were treated to a luminous night night of neon, neon, and more neon.

First, our neon ride for the evening:

View from the deck:

And of course the amazing sites along the way of pure NEON:

Bridges!

Other boats!

Another bridge that sort of looks like a fish!

Another bridge (there are many) and the Guangzhou Tower!

The entire side of Ersha Island & Zhujiang New Town!

Sports stadium on Ersha Island!

Toward the end of the cruise, we were treated to a beautiful concert:

Peering out as we approach the dock:

I took a photo of this photo that hung on the boat's wall.  Look at the guy on the left - must have been a REALLY hot day - yikes.
